Luke + Charity | Wedding Day!

October 3, 2017

Happy Fall, everyone!  I have to admit, I enjoyed the Indian summer we were given, but it just feels odd to be able to wear shorts and sandals at the end of September!  I have welcomed the colder temps with open arms and a hoodie!

Luke + Charity are married!  Their wedding was beautiful.  So much work was put into it and it was absolutely perfect!  Lets get started!

Charity + her ladies got their hair and make up done at a local salon!  The atmosphere was very relaxing and that is a great start to any wedding day!  Miss flower girl was so much fun to be around!  She’s all of 4 years old, but she acts so grown up!

I asked her if she would smile for the pictures and she said, “Yup!  When someone tells me to smile, I’ll do it!”

Emma was teaching Erica and I how to do splits!

Flower girl, Eva, was agreeing that she looked really cute as she looked in the mirror at her freshly done hair!  Who is the bride here anyway?!?

All finished!  Isn’t she gorgeous?!!

These dresses give me all the heart eyes!  This is a very popular color this fall but I honestly wouldn’t be upset if every wedding had colors like these!  They are just so pretty!

Erica grabbed these shots of the guys getting ready!  I’ve heard many people tell me that they don’t really think it is necessary to have a second shooter on their wedding day. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I think a second shooter is a good idea!  Let me tell you how amazing Erica is.  She brought me coffee, made a quick stop at the store for me,  and went to the Reception venue before going to the church so we could get a few pictures of the tables completely empty.   She also took all of the dresses to the church and started detail shots because we were running short on time.  She helped carry my bags to the car and she was also there as a back up when not one, but both of my cameras stopped working during the ceremony.  YES! BOTH! (Thankfully it wasn’t during a time sensitive moment!) They apparently just needed to rest for a second because they were fine after many prayers and about 5 minutes!  I will forever think it is necessary to have another person there just to help with the day!

Mr. + Mrs. Luke Turck!

We started at the Willow tree for the outside portraits.  This was my first experience with the groomsmen!  I’m still not 100% positive who is who because they kept changing their names!

Another shout out to Erica here!  She’s just so great!  She also gets a different perspective of some of my set ups.  Sometimes I’m jealous of all the extra fun she is having!

Next stop, the secret waterfall!  We almost didn’t go here so that we could arrive at the Reception a little sooner. I’m soooo glad we didn’t skip it!

Their first dance as Mr. + Mrs. They put so much work into turning this non-wedding venue into something dreamy and romantic!

This cake was so delicious! Erica and I grabbed a piece on our way out!

Charity’s grandparents were the couple who had been married the longest!  If I remember correctly, they said they have been married for 63 years!  That is something to be proud of and something we should all strive for.

Luke + Charity,

Thank you so much for choosing Erica and I to capture the beginning of your new chapter!  It was such a joy spending the day with your closest friends and family!  I pray that God blesses you with many years together!
