Happy Monday, Friends! I hope you had a wonderful, restful, and relaxing weekend! I know that is sometimes difficult this time of year, but take some time to just slow down. I would say my weekend was about 50/50! It included a beautiful wedding, a Christmas party, and it ended with a cheesy, predictable, Hallmark movie on Sunday night! And it was even extended a few hours hours because of all of this snow! Don’t get jealous if you don’t work in the school system, I don’t think there will be a snow day today for us!
Lets jump right into this wedding because weddings make Mondays more fun and exciting! Maria contacted me around 2 months ago and wondered if I was available for her upcoming wedding. Her and her Fiance had just decided that they didn’t want to wait until next year to tie the knot! I had never had a winter wedding so I was excited to see how I felt about them from a photographers perspective! I have no complaints! Back in October, we squeezed in a Fall Engagement Session and that morning gave us a little taste of the cold we would get to experience on the day of the actual wedding!
This church will forever be the Hallmark church to me. Have you ever noticed that whenever you watch a Hallmark movie at Christmas time there are literally decorations or lights in each camera angle?! This church was no exception!
The bouquets that Maria had chosen smelled just like Christmas trees! That is one of my favorite smells! I also loved how nice they looked with the girls shawls!
Maria probably thought Erica and I were crazy, but when she showed the church we had little freak out moments when we saw the character and little spots we wanted to use for pictures! Like that staircase for example!
It was a race against the sun, as any Winter wedding would be! Erica grabbed these glowy photos when I was doing Maria’s bridal portraits!
Do you see what I mean about those flowers and shawls?!
They are all sisters! I was a little jealous, I’m pretty sure my one brother isn’t quite as fun as these girls!
I just love the way they look at each other!
It was a perfect day to warm up with some hot chocolate!
Here is a super fun idea. They had their guests write little messages on Christmas ornaments!
So I when I choose my favorites for the blog post I just go through and 5 star my favorites as well as a few extras to tell the story. After I was finished I realized that the cutest dancers and apparently my favorite dancers are the smallest ones!
Zach + Maria,
Thank you so much for choosing Erica and I to document your big day! You made the most wonderful time of the year a little extra wonderful! I pray that God blesses you with 100 years of love and happiness!
