Where do I even begin!?! I feel like I’ve been waiting for this day as long as Shane + Katherine have been! I still remember the day when Katherine first mentioned to me that she wanted me to take her wedding photos. Now the time has finally come! Let’s take a look at the day, shall we?! Katherine wanted a laid back wedding day so she started her wedding prep nice and early! When I arrived, Katherine was getting her hair done, and she was also being given crackers to munch on because she was so nervous she thought she would be sick! Her cousin, and bridesmaids did a great job of keeping her calm! 🙂
Katherine wore pearls around her neck that her Mother also wore for her own wedding! I believe her grandma wore them, too!
These ladies were cracking me up! When I took the first photo of them all together I mentioned to Katherine how good everything looked all together! As we started individual bridesmaid photos and most of the bridesmaids were looking on, someone commented again about how good the dresses and flowers looked together. I think we talked about it at least 3 times in a 5 minute period!
It is so hard to believe that these young ladies are all grown up! It has been so much fun to watch and I’m so proud of who they have become!
As the girls were having their photos taken, the men were getting ready at the church!

Ceremony time…
This was such a fun idea. After Shane + Katherine lit their unity candle, they had everyone light candles to signify the families becoming one. Love that idea!
Finally Mr. + Mrs.
It’s is almost surreal to me! I work with Katherine’s mom, and I used to work with Shane’s older sister. When Katherine was younger she would come to our class after school to talk to Stacie and I and don’t think there was a day when the topic of Shane didn’t come up! And now here we are…..
They have the cutest niece and nephews!
So here is the backstory on the outdoor photos. I was watching the weather all week because this summer has been so rainy, and it seems like it rains more days than it doesn’t. It was calling rain on Saturday all week long, and not just little droplets of rain, Thunderstorms! I have a ridiculous amount of umbrellas in my car for such a time, but I’m pretty sure standing in a field with an umbrella during a storm isn’t the best thing to do! I literally almost made myself sick over the weather forecast. I texted a few friends and asked them to pray for nice weather. On the way to the barn, it started sprinkling, but then it stopped! I bet I only had 10 drops on my windshield! By the time we got to the barn the sun was shining brightly! Then I prayed again because we were taking pictures in the middle of the day when the sun was high and there was hardly any shade. Then it was cloudy…. I was so happy I could have cried!
They gave out s’more ingredients as favors! SO cute!
