Happy Tuesday evening, Friends! I hope you locals didn’t blow away today! Hasn’t this summer weather been crazy?!! Summer is flying by and quickly coming to an end. By that, I mean that I go back to work in exactly one week…. I miss the people I see everyday from late August through the middle of June and I’m excited to use a few projects I’ve been working on. I’m also excited to use the things this Target & Amazon Prime loving teacher has found this summer (I got THE BEST deal on Sharpies…), but I also love being home and devoting every single day to my own growing business! The start of school is always a little bittersweet and it always brings anxiety because I always wonder if I will be able to handle the busyness that comes with going back to work but I guess that is my own personal problem and I don’t need to tell you all about it! This isn’t Facebook 🙂
I just wanted to take quick minute to share a few photos from a recent Extended Family Session! “Extended Family” implies grandchildren. “Grandchildren” implies numerous children within a certain age range. “Children within a certain age range” make me nervous! Kid’s are hard. They don’t always think you’re funny. They only want to look at your for about 10 seconds and they may or may not be smiling. When Marjorie called about scheduling her family session for 20 people, I agreed, and then I got off the phone and panicked a little! 🙂 Little did I know that I had nothing to worry about! Look at these sweet cherubs!
A family session with 20 people and not a single head swap in Photoshop! Amazing! I’ve found the secret. These kiddos don’t want to go from one pose to another. They want to take turns having their photos taken. They want to play! (You would think a Teacher of younger children would have known that…) If I could fit a swing set in the back of my SUV to take to every session, I totally would!
Playtime!
A big thank you to the Moser (& Zehr) families for getting everyone all dressed up and looking great on a week night! You all did fabulous!
I love pumpkin spice everything, sweaters, scarves, and boots so I’m getting excited for cooler weather and crisp fall leaves, but I’m going to miss the lush greens of summer and the later, warmer nights! When we were talking after the pictures were over, someone mentioned Christmas cards. Guess what, friends? It’s not too soon to be thinking about it! I actually just helped another client order their Christmas cards last week. She was actually able to get an early bird discount! If you’re thinking about getting pictures taken this fall, don’t hesitate to book! The weekends will fill up quickly so contact me to guarantee your spot!
That is all.
I lied. If you’re not busy this weekend, River Valley (my school!) is putting on their Annual Auction! The link to the Facebook page and more information is here. If you already have plans, change them! 🙂
Now I’m finished!
