Jaylen + Alayna | Wedding Day!

Hey Friends! I am SO excited for this week’s blog post!  I’m so excited that I can’t wait until Wednesday morning!  I am excited every week, but Weddings are just extra special!  Let’s jump right in shall we?!

Jaylen + Alayna are finally Mr. + Mrs!

The day started at Elements Day Spa and Salon in Lowville, NY.  The ladies there did a wonderful job at making Alayna and her girls look extra fabulous!

Lisk’s Floral did a wonderful job with the flowers!

     

Jaylen + Alayna decided to do a First Look and get some portraits done before the wedding!  We drove back into a special hay field.  It was special because this hay field didn’t have any snakes 😉

This was such a special moment!  I always go back and forth when it comes to the First Look.  I think both approaches to a wedding day can be special.  It is nice as a photographer to have more time before the ceremony for portraits.  Having a First look gives you more time to spend with your guests!  On the other hand, it is also really special when the doors open and everyone sees the bride walk down the aisle towards the man of her dreams who is anxiously waiting at the end.  There is always excitement in the air pre-ceremony to make sure everything goes as planned so that he doesn’t see her!

Erica helped me with this wedding!  I love the perspective that she adds! I don’t know how many times during my editing I have thought, “I love that angle so much better!”

These two are such good sports.  The grass in this field was SO LONG and wet and a little difficult to walk in if you’re wearing a long white dress!  They were up for everything!

How perfect are they?  I love when I have a pose in mind, and then either the bride or groom does something before I have instructed them to and I love it even better.  My plan for this was to have Jaylen look at me, but before I told him that he looked down at Alayna and I’m over here with all the heart eyes!

I know that I always say that my clients are all connected in some way or another!  You might notice some familiar faces!   Just last year, Jaylen + Alayna stood up in Shane + Katherine’s wedding!

During that hug I overheard Alayna’s mom tell her to make sure that she enjoys this day.  As a wedding photographer, I think that is some of the best advice!  If you’re married at the end of the day then everything went as planned.  Don’t stress.  Don’t worry about small details that don’t matter.  Just enjoy one of the best days of your life!

Shane + Katherine have been married for a year so they are pro’s at this marriage thing!

 

These two know each other pretty well! I think they only disagreed on who was going to clean the bathrooms!

Alayna was all prepared for their cake smash/cutting!  They are such a fun loving couple!  I love that they know how to have fun together!

 

After the reception, they climbed into their big trucks and drove to Jaylen’s (best man) barn!  That barn is one of my favorite places for pictures!  We were there a few years ago for Ben + Jacci’s wedding!  The barn has a lot of character and it just seems like it is one of the few barns left that isn’t covered in tin!  Also, it has a white barnyard fence that went so well with Alayna’s love of all things country.

Thank you so much for asking me to capture such a special day in your lives.  Everything was so beautiful.  You have such wonderful friends and family!  It certainly was a special day!  I hope you enjoyed this little sneak peak!
