Happy Independence Day! Can you believe it’s July 4th already?! I think my favorite season is the season we’re in, so right now my favorite season is summer. I like that the grass and trees are all green, the flowers are in full bloom, and don’t even get me started on the wonderful smell of fresh cut hay! As I’m writing this, it is 9:30pm and the horizon will be glowing for a few minutes longer. We’re in the middle of a heat wave and sometimes it is easy to complain, but the plus side of a heat wave is that the pool feels refreshing at any hour, you don’t need to a blanket or a jacket when you’re sitting outside and the main reason to have a campfire is not to keep your toes warm, but because there are marshmallows to roast! The only downside to the summer season is that I honestly never know what day it is. Monday? Thursday? With the exception of Sunday, all my days feel pretty much the same! #teacherproblems
Let’s jump in to Kristopher + Amber’s Engagement photos!
Kristopher + Amber are new to the Chelsea Jane Photography “family!” I know Amber’s sister from High school, and I’ve heard that our mothers once worked together. It was fun getting to know more about Kris + Amber during our walks to portrait locations! Rumor has it that Kris can build you a house!
I had asked Amber how she met Kristopher. She said that he was actually a friend of the family first! He proposed on a little trip to Lake Placid. They hiked to some waterfalls and he popped the question!
They were troopers for their session! It was such a hot day and the bugs were terrible!
Kris + Amber were such naturals in front of the camera! I always joke with my couples that they will be pro’s by the time their session is finished! These two were pros from the beginning!
I think my favorite thing from this entire session was the way these two loveys looked at each other! Are they not just the cutest!?
How pretty is Amber’s ring? Kristopher picked it out all by himself!
