Happy Wednesday, Friend! Aren’t you just loving this Fall weather!? It has been a little bit chilly, the fog comes and goes and I freak out every time I see it because I just think it is SO pretty! I miss my summer schedule, or lack there of! But I just love everything about Fall! Bring on all the pumpkin and comfy sweaters! Speaking of fall, it is time for the Harvest! How perfect that I have a session to share with you that involves CORN!
Meet Jake + Ruthanne! Ruthanne and I were in the same Occupational class our Junior + Senior years! I honestly don’t think I have seen her since then except for on social media! When she contacted me about taking her wedding photos I was SO excited!
Jake + Ruthanne met through a mutual friend.
Ruthanne said that they had their first date a week after they met and they have been inseparable ever since!
I always ask my brides how their groom proposed! Jake apparently wanted the proposal to be as spontaneous as possible! This proposal happened at 1am when Jake got home from the barn. Ruthanne said she was almost sleeping when she heard Jake yell, “RUTHANNE! GET DOWNSTAIRS! QUICK!”
She immediately thought that the house was on fire so she bolted down the stairs…
… and she found Jake on one knee with a ring. He asked her if she would make him the LUCKIEST man in the world!
These two have such great chemistry. Most of their session was unprompted! I told them I could probably just follow them around for an hour and not have to say a thing!
These photos were taken on Jake’s land! He is a farmer and he also sells corn seed! Hence the cornfield 😉 Don’t they have such a great view?!
Jake + Ruthanne,
I had such a great time with you both! The love you have each other is so cute and it is a breath of fresh air! Thanks for showing me around your farm!
Best wishes as you finish planning the wedding! I can’t wait!
